Local Man Tries to Remove Illegal Aliens
Most who have read my posts know where I stand on ILLEGAL aliens in this country. They are here against the law and should not be rewarded for this. The Daily Times had an article on Saturday about a local man that is trying to make his stand against illegal aliens living in the apartment complex he is managing.
Hispanic tenants of the apartments found themselves confronted with an Aug. 13 memo from the management giving any illegal aliens 18 days to move out.“If you are illegally in the country and you are still in the apartment at the end of August, I will call the proper authorities. You will be arrested and you will be deported,” the memo read.
I agree with his conviction and the premise of this deed, however he needs to do this the correct way.
Federal law prohibits knowingly harboring illegal aliens, but tenants are also legally entitled to 30-days notice prior to eviction based on a violation of contract.
This guy should give them the proper 30 day notice rather than the 18 days he has currently given them. This should give those that are forced to move due to their illegal status little room for argument. As it stands now, they are looking into possibly taking legal action. Just do it the right way to avoid the trouble!
