Semi-Live Blogging the Symphony Part 2

Alright, so I realize it is now the next morning and this is no longer even semi-live blogging the symphony. However, I thought it best to keep a similar title for fluidity. The second half of the concert was wonderful. Whereas the first half was new music by American composers which are still alive, […]

Semi-Live Blogging the Symphony

As mentioned earlier, my wife and I are attending the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra tonight as their guests. It is intermission, and so far it has been outstanding.
Jeffrey Biegel is the guest pianist who played a concerto which was written for him. It was Concerto No. 3 for Piano and Orchestra. He easily played every key […]

Misleading Advertising with Ethanol in Gasoline

Recently in the East TN area a Pilot Oil Company began selling E-85 ethanol at some o their stations. In addition to this, however, they began adding 10% ethanol to their regular gasoline. They didn’t lower the price, though. Yesterday another local station I stopped at, Weigel’s was doing the same thing. Nowhere on their […]

State Senator Suing God

In an effort to allow frivilous lawsuits, a Democratic State Senator from Nebraska, Ernie Chambers, is suing God. You can read about it HERE.

Thanks to a tip from Frank Murphy (via several other bloggers), I have received free tickets to the opening concert of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra just for being a Knoxville area blogger. According to Frank’s blog:
I have already marked my calendar for blogger night at the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra. Communications Director Stephanie Burdette asked me […]

Apple Offering iPhone Rebates

Apple is reducing the price of its iPhones by $200 in a push for Christmas. The customers that already paid $599 for the devices are upset. For some reason they haven’t followed technology in the past.

A company comes out with a new product
The company builds up hype about the product
People wait hours/days in […]

Peyton Manning and Opening Night

I watched the opening night 2007 football game last night between the Colts and the Saints. NBC has really been pushing this game with ads that had Peyton Manning and Reggie Bush in them. In fact, the game started with another ad that game the appearance of it being live in the tunnel just before […]
