Thompson Continues Slipping

According to Rasmussen Reports for October 31, there is a Halloween surprise.  Fred Thompson is becoming less and less popular with people.  In fact, Giuliani is in first place, and the four others (Thompson, Romney, Huckabee, and McCain) are pretty much “neck and neck.”  The numbers are certainly interesting when you look at them over [...]

WordPress – Statistics

Now that I have moved to WordPress, I am curious about stats.  I was able to embed my SiteMeter code under a Text widget.  However, I don’t know how well that will work.
Those of you out there using WordPress, what are you using for your statistics?

John Edwards – His Plans For Your Money

John Edwards has big plans for YOUR money.  What are some of those plans?  According to the Concord Monitor:
Edwards, a former Democratic senator from North Carolina, says the federal government should underwrite universal pre-kindergarten, create matching savings accounts for low-income people, mandate a minimum wage of $9.50 and provide a million new Section 8 housing [...]

In this switch, I will also be converting from Blogger to WordPress. If anyone has any tips on this, they would be greatly appreciated. You should still be [...]

Mike Huckabee’s Blogger Conference Call

Earlier this evening, I had the privilege to attend a conference call by Governor Mike Huckabee specifically for bloggers. While he only had time for 5 or 6 questions, this was a very good way to recognize and reach bloggers.
He emphasized the support he has been receiving lately, especially in some key early states. Also, [...]

Mike Huckabee Quote

Just a quick entry about a very spot-on quote from former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee at last night’s Florida GOP debate. Huckabee said (from Reuters):
We’ve got a situation with 10,000 baby boomers a day signing up for SocialSecurity, going into the Medicare system. And I just want to remind everybodywhen all the old hippies find [...]

Ridiculous – Obesity Not Our Fault

According to a UK “study” reported by the BBC, obesity is no longer our fault. We need the government to save us from this awful fate!
Individuals can no longer be held responsible for obesity and government must act to stop Britain “sleepwalking” into a crisis, a report has concluded. The largest ever UK study [...]

Maryville Water Restrictions

I have not said much about the water restrictions in Maryville, TN. However, we have been under mandatory water restrictions for a couple weeks now. This means not watering your yard or landscape, not washing your cars, and not filling swimming pools. It also means that businesses had to cut down 5% [...]
