Dems Miss Vote – AGAIN
Yesterday, the war funding was passed by the Senate – 92-3!! Only 3 Democrats voted against it (Byrd, Coburn, Feingold). However, the biggest thing for me was that those that want to lead our country on the Democratic side of the aisle DID NOT VOTE. Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Chris Dodd, and Joe Biden all “missed” the vote. On the GOP side, John McCain also “missed” the vote. I am not sure if these folks were in town or not, but they certainly need to be there for these votes.
This especially seems true for Barack Obama. The guy has barely been in the national political scene, which is one of his biggest weeknesses. And it seems any big or controversial vote he doesn’t show up for. Do we want this kind of leader? I can respect a person a lot more if they actually vote, even if I disagree with it, rather than opting out of the votes.
