CNN/YouTube GOP Debate

Some quick comments on last night’s CNN/YouTube Debate.  I once again thought Mike Huckabee did very well and probably won the debate.  A survey of Florida voters and Iowa voters echoed this.  You can find that poll HERE.  I also thought Mitt Romney did pretty well, except for his stumble over the question of whether [...]

This is a major comeback for Huckabee.  This is not the end of the world for Romney, who is still polling well and leads in New Hampshire.  However, big losses in Iowa could certainly hurt the [...]

Possible 22% Tax Increase for Maryville, TN

The Maryville (TN) City Council is weighing options to increase the property tax rate by 45 cents.  That is a 22% increase (current city rate is $2.05 per $1,000).  This is crazy.  They say it is to raise money to modernize the schools.  Don’t get me wrong; I am all for helping the schools, and [...]

Successes for Bush

From the Washington Post:
The war in Iraq seems to have taken a turn for the better and the opposition at home has failed in all efforts to impose its own strategy. North Korea is dismantling its nuclear program. The budget deficit is falling. A new attorney general has been confirmed despite objections from the left. [...]

ConserVOLiance

There is a new online conservative community for Tennessee.  It is called Tennessee’s ConserVOLiance.  This was started just a few day ago by Ken Marrero of Blue Collar Muse.  Take a look at it, and if you are a conservative in Tennessee, sign up.  I have also added this to my blogroll.  I had not read any [...]

Comcast Being Sued over Web Interference

We will have to see what happens with this.  Comcast is being sued over web interference according to an AP article on BreitBart.  Congress last year or early this year refused to take on Net Neutrality, so now it looks like Comcast subscriber Jon Hart is going to take it on.
Subscriber Jon Hart based his [...]
