More Deceptive Ethanol

I stopped at the Exxon on the corner of Hunt Road and Old Knoxville Highway this morning in Blount County to fill up with gas.  Much to my dismay, they too are now putting 10% ethanol in their gasoline and trying to pass it off as regular gasoline.  Of course I drove away.  Just beware.

Are you really that ignorant? In some states, E-10 has been available for over 15 years. In many of those same states, E-10 is as much as 15 cents per gallon cheaper than regular. I would expect that the pump you drove away from was clearly marked 10% ethanol……how do you get thati it was being passed off as regular?

The PUMP was marked with small stickers, but no where on the sign did it mention anything about E-10. That is what I meant that they are trying to pass it off as regular. I am sure they are following the law; I just want to make people aware to look for these little stickers.

Also, the prices are the SAME for this as 100% gasoline. Why should I pay the same for 90% gasoline as 100% gasoline? If they want to use this, they should charge less.

I will continue to use 100% gasoline in my car as long as I can find it, especially when it costs the same amount as 90% gasoline/10% ethanol.
