The Wall Street Journal has a good article about Senator Tom Coburn, who has blocked 90 bills in 2007. We should all be thankful to him for stopping wasteful projects. Stopping stuff is Sen. Coburn’s specialty. In a Congress that has had trouble passing even the simplest legislation, Sen. Coburn, who proudly wears the nickname [...]

Karl Rove has a good piece in the opinion section of today’s Wall Street Journal. His piece addresses the fact that this year’s Presidential Primaries effectively end in five weeks, even though the candidates have been campaigning for longer than ever. The first problem is the overall length of the campaign. There are few more [...]

Tom Tancredo (R-CO) is going to drop out of the Presidential Race today. The five-term Colorado congressman planned to make the announcement at a news conference in Des Moines, Iowa, on Thursday, the person said, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak for Mr. Tancredo or his campaign. The next [...]

Only ONE Senator, Jon Kyl (R-AZ) had the guts to vote against the Bush-Clinton housing bailout. Of course Barack Obama, John McCain, Hillary Clinton, and three other Democrats decided to sit this one out. Surprise, surprise. These guys hardly vote on anything of any significance any more. Michelle Malkin has a good round-up.

From Rich at Shots Across the Bow: Or maybe “inaction” would be more accurate. Let me see if I have this straight. The US Congresscritters can’t manage to pass the general spending bills on time, and lack the political will to pass the bill funding our military at a time when our forces are in [...]

James P. Pinkerton, a former Reagan and George H.W. Bush staffer, says Huckabee would not be an “easy kill” for the Democrats. This comes in response to a Drudge story that the Democrats wants Huckabee to get the nomination because they think he would be the easiest to beat in the general election. Within the DNC, [...]
