Book Update: An Army of Davids
| I have made a decision this year to be more intentional with my reading. After all, as Charlie “Tremendous” Jones says, “You are the same today as you’ll be in five years, except for two things: the people you meet and the books you read.” I read, but this year I am turning off the TV, reading during lunch, etc. to ensure I will know more at the end of the year than I did at the beginning. I have pledged to read at least 15 books this year. Here is number one.
I just finished reading Glenn Reynolds’s book An Army of Davids. It was an excellent read from blogger, Instapundit. As you might expect, this book addresses the growing trend of the empowerment of “normal” people. The first half of the book keeps this as its theme through music production, blogging, media, etc. The second half is more technical talking about aging, the space program, nanotechnology, and other more advanced subjects.Mr. Reynold’s knowledge is very vast, and I think this book accurately portrays where we are now, and the future of different technologies. I learned a lot about nanotechnology without being bored. I highly recommend this book. |
