Sarah Palin

Senator John McCain has made his selection for vice-presidential running mate, Governor Sarah Palin (Alaska).  I had heard her name in the mix for several months now, and I think it was McCain’s best decision.  He chose a running mate I can get excited about.  I just wish I could say the same for him!
Palin [...]

Tech Tip: How to securely erase a drive

For those that want to know the best way to erase a drive, there are several options.  However, I am going to discuss a couple.
WARNING:  These steps will erase ALL data on the drive(s) selected.  Make sure you really want to do this!
The first thing you can do is download Darik’s Boot And Nuke.  Here [...]

Conventions

Does anyone else find it extremely strange how the delegates vote at the conventions?  All the primaries and caucuses are strictly for show.  The delegates you select via your vote in your state primary is thrown out the window.  They get to the convention and vote for whoever they choose.  I realize this is their [...]

Biden is Obama’s VP Pick

I know this is quite a bit after Senator Obama’s decision that came across this morning to pick Joe Biden as his Vice-Presidential running mate.  I am not a fan of Senator Biden, but that probably goes without saying.  I guess it helps Obama’s lack of experience.  However, it goes against his “change” mantra, as [...]

Almost Football Time

It is almost football time.  College football time.  I received my Clemson season tickets in the mail over the weekend.  I am pumped.  Clemson opens with a neutral site game in the Georgia Dome versus Alabama.  Then we have four straight home games.  It will be a hot September at home, but I am still [...]

Idle Congress

This is not a post attacking the Democrats in Congress, although they are certainly in control.  It is not celebrating the Republicans.  It is simply to point out that that, according to a WSJ article, this Congress has been the most idle in history.  At least when it came to passing actual bills.

Barring a burst [...]

Baby on the Way

Mrs. Thomas has been admitted to the hospital and is receiving wonderful treatment from the nurses here at Blount Memorial Hospital.  The baby will be here in the very near future.  For updates, I am posted at her blog:

National Anthem at the Olympics

I was watching the Olympics this evening, and I watched Michael Phelps set another World Record in the 400 IM this evening.  What an impressive swimmer!
However, when they played the American National Anthem, it was completely screwed up.  Mrs. Thomas and I were trying to figure out what part they were at, and right when [...]

John Edwards Saga

While I have been following the intentionally ignored John Edwards saga for the last week, I have not commented on it yet.  The National Enquirer broke the story about Edwards visiting his mistress and love child on July 22.  The main stream media ignored and tried to hide the story en masse.  Well, John Edwards [...]

Election Day

Today is Election Day in Tennessee (and maybe other states).  This is a Primary for some contests and a General Election for others.  And it is on a Thursday.  The randomness of election days in Tennessee never ceases to amaze me.
Now, GO VOTE!
