Sarah Palin

Senator John McCain has made his selection for vice-presidential running mate, Governor Sarah Palin (Alaska).  I had heard her name in the mix for several months now, and I think it was McCain’s best decision.  He chose a running mate I can get excited about.  I just wish I could say the same for him!

Palin is the only candidate on either ticket with executive experience.  She has been the governor of Alaska, after defeated the incumbent Republican governor, since 2006.  Before that she was the mayor of Wasilla from 1996 to 2002.

I applaud McCain on this decision and for his decision to wait until AFTER the Democratic Convention.  That was the proper etiquette, and I am glad he decided to follow it. Plus it stopped the talk about Obama’s speech from Thursday night.

How is it the Democrats feel comfortable saying she’s too inexperienced to be ” a heartbeat away from the Presidency” but they are comfortable with someone less experienced actually being Commander in Chief? Seems ignorant to attack her on that front since she had been an executive official for five years by the time Obama was voted into the Senate. Also, how do they get past the fact that Biden railed against Obama as being inexperienced when the primaries started?
