Other Options – Bob Barr
Just a reminder that there are other options outside of John McCain and Barack Obama when it comes time to vote for President. Go check out Bob Barr. I know what you are saying: voting for a third party candidate is throwing your vote away. Not true. If that attitude is changed in enough people, some may vote for these guys, and they may make some headway. Barr certainly agrees with a lot more of what I believe than John McCain.
At least take a few minutes and go look at his positions, and see where your views stand in relation to his. Whoever you vote for in the upcoming election, please at least take the time to make an informed, intellectual decision rather than an emotional, “feel good” decision.

I don’t believe “third-party” candidates are viable options. A vote for Bob Barr may as well be a vote for Obiden in the current political climate. bolstering support for a non-republican or non-democrat would have to start many years before an election year to even have a chance. His views are great but he seems to have an interesting past.
September 30th, 2008 at 8:11 amI have heard the a vote for X is really a vote for Y before. However, with the two candidates running this year, does it really matter? They have a few differences when they talk, but when you look at how they vote, etc. they really are not very different. I just can’t support a liberal McCain that is against tax cuts (looking at voting rather than words), for amnesty for illegal aliens, for limiting free speech via McCain-Feingold… The list goes on. It is time, for me at least, to look at all the candidates, and vote for someone that believes what I believe and not the lesser of two evils.
