Senate Bill Unconstitutional?
I always remember my government teacher telling me all spending bill have to originate in the House of Representatives rather than the Senate. I almost forgot that until I read Bob Krumm’s post regarding the Senate Bailout “Pork Happy, Waste the Taxpayers Money on Useless Junk” Bill. But as Mr. Krumm points out:
All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.
So, is the Senate bill unconstitutional? It would certainly appear so, but why should we let the Constitution get in the way of things? This is an emergency! (That was sarcasm in case you didn’t get it). Will anybody challenge it and if they do would they win? I doubt it, but it is certainly worth bringing up and exposing all these arrogant, power hungry politicians for who they are. They ignore their constituents because clearly they are smarter than we common folks and they ignore the Constitution. It is time to send these folks – both Republican and Democrat – packing.

I’d say it’s time for another Revolution. Actually, PAST time.
