College Instant Replay
I sat at the Clemson vs. South Carolina football game yesterday (a Tiger domination – again!) in the rain and cold. After seeing college football instant replay over the last few years, I am over it. It takes too long and too often a call is reviewed. I don’t propose we get rid of replay all together, but let’s do the same as the NFL does. Make coaches review calls, rather than having a replay booth determine if a call should be reviewed.
I sat there yesterday while it took the refs nearly 10 minutes to determine the proper spot for the football. That is simply unacceptable. The experiment has been worthwhile. Now let’s tweak college replay and make it better.
