Shortly before Sarah Palin was introduced as John McCain’s running mate for the 2008 election, I had heard rumors she was on a short list. Even after she was announced, I was excited about the Alaska Governor. She seemed to be conservative and add something exciting to the Republican ticket. That excitement quickly got old, [...]

Newt Gingrich takes on MSNBC’s Ron Allen when he stated “But to be fair, her resume is not something we’re familiar seeing with presidential candidates.”
Mr. Gingrich responded with the following (video below):
It’s stronger than Barack Obama’s. I don’t know why you guys walk around saying this baloney. She has a stronger resume than Obama. She’s [...]

As I mentioned HERE, I thought last night was a time when Mike Huckabee needed actual victories rather than just moral victories. I think he certainly got a moral victory in Virginia making a close contest out of what had been a blowout in the polls not very long ago. However, John McCain once again [...]

I had heard that Ron Paul was struggling for the Republican nomination in his Congressional District, but I had no idea things were this bad for him:
Paul’s campaign is looking at internal numbers showing [Chris] Peden with a 43-32 lead over Paul, with the primary just weeks away.
Very interesting.

By a count of 2.5 to 1 (60% – 24%), Mike Huckabee has beaten John McCain in Kansas. This was the first contest after Romney announced his withdrawal from the GOP race. Huckabee, a long shot, has certainly started on the right foot. It will be interesting to watch the results through Tuesday to see if [...]

Well, it has certainly been an interesting week. It was interesting to hear that Mitt Romney was dropping out of the race on my way home on Thursday afternoon. After all the money he spent, I thought he would be in at least until McCain had sealed the nomination. So where does that leave us? [...]

Karl Rove, a man George W. Bush calls “the architect,” has been giving advice to several of the candidates this year, including advice for how Obama could beat Hillary Clinton. He now has a piece out about beating the Democrats in November. In regards to Clinton:
Specifically, Rove hit Clinton for what could have been her [...]

According to CNN’s numbers, here are the number of GOP Delegates through Iowa (and a few already committed for future states):

John McCain
19
Fred Thompson

1,191 Delegates are needed to win the nomination, and clearly all of the candidates still have a mathematical chance. Romney’s strong finishes in all the primaries [...]

While the results are still rolling in, John McCain has won New Hampshire. It looks like Romney will come in second and Huckabee in third.
However, McCain’s victory speech is rather boring and disappointing, in my opinion. He has read almost the whole thing. It seems like he has no idea what it says. He is [...]

As most of you know, Benazir Bhutto, former Prime Minister of Pakistan and the first female PM in an Islamic state, was assassinated this morning, and al Qaeda is claiming responsibility. I am not going to cover the details of the actual event or the breaking news (Drudge is doing a great job of this, as [...]
